SEVEN HANGOVER REMEDIES

The sunlight struck your eyes and you seemed not to feel it. You woke a little bit late but you were happy because you had fun drinking and partying last night. Suddenly, you felt heaviness on your head, then you felt throwing up and wanted to stand up but that upside down feeling made you sat back and realized you had hung-over. This is definitely not a good way to start the day. Unfortunately, there is no one thing that cures hangover except time but these things can help you go through the day without hassle.

FRUITY FRUCTOSE AND HONEY

Fructose which helps the body burn alcohol faster can be found in fruits. A glass of orange juice or mango juice could help you excrete all the alcohol in your body. Honey is also a good source of fructose and eating little of something, like crackers could also accelerate the excretion of alcohol to the body.

ANALGESIC AND COFFEE

Headache is a common effect of too much alcohol intake. If your headache is so much that you couldn't barely do something, drink any low dose analgesics like Ibuprofen, Aspirin or Acetaminophen. Higher dose of painkillers is not good, habituation [a physiological tolerance to a drug resulting from repeated use] could happen. You don’t want that. Coffee could help you with pain. It is a vasoconstrictor which reduces the size of blood vessels that causes headache but don't drink too much because it also has a bad effect.

HOT SOUP

Soup will help replace the potassium and salt losses in your body. Sodium and potassium are the major electrolytes of the body and any imbalance will cause a lot of discomforts like vomiting and dehydration.

VITAMINS (B1B6B12) AND AMINO ACIDS

If you always find yourself drunk in a party, drink vitamins and amino acids every day. Drinking drains a lot of vitamins and amino acids in your system and you don't want to be malnourished.Vitamin B complex can help shorten the duration of hangover. Amino acid is the building blocks of protein which aids in repairing the ravages of a hangover.

INCREASE WATER INTAKE

Alcohol causes cell dehydration. Increase your fluid intake throughout the day.

REST

Time is the only thing that could cure hangover. Cure your symptoms as best as you can. Get a good sleep and the next day-hopefully- you will be fine.
